3 cm dilated, 90% effaced...when should I be going into labor?

I dialated a lot since my last doctor's visit...last week I was just 1 cm and 80% effaced. I think I might be one of those women who doesn't really feel the contractions until later. I get this dull che every once in while tho and it kind of radiates around me. My doctor just said that it could be that I'm getting close or it could be another couple of weeks. What do you guys think might happen? I'm 37 weeks 1 day today.
