Why does Obama look up to his father?

I didn't know his father and I've never defended him and for that matter Obama really didn't know him either but it is natural for a child to want to know and look up to his father. It's kind of despicable to attack part of someones life that they have no control over. Martin Borman's son became a Jesuit, would you attack him because of the sins of his father? Obama is now our president elect and there's nothing you can do about it, get over it
