Mailing items to Singapore - censorship?

I would like to mail some books to a friend in Singapore (I live in the U.S.). Is there a list of what types of books are allowed? Do the postmasters in Singapore open every box if the customs slip says it contains books? Does anybody know the process of how items sent through the mail to Singapore are censored? Thanks.
