Im playing on my school newest Tenor Saxophone....It sounds AWFUL...it sqeaks alot and notes sound wierd? Why?

It may be because it is new. Some times the saxophones get to the stores/schools unadjusted and not in complete working order. My friend who is also a certified instrument technician does a lot of adjusting horns to make them play better and make sure they are in full playing condition.
