My son is 14 yrs old and i found condoms in his backpack. What next...?

I told him that whenever he was ready 2 start having to come to me and talk 2 me so we could brainstorm and come up with the safest way for him. Being realistic, I know he's gonna do it & I dont want him out there just sticking his "willie" in anybody unprotected. So... long story short... he didnt tell me and i found them so i'm uming that he's probably already ually active. Should i talk 2 him now or just ume he's protecting himself and leave him alone?
